Warnings of icy road conditions across the County

Sub-zero temperatures have brought more snow and ice to parts of the country overnight.

A status yellow warning remains in place until midday.

Scattered snow showers and ice could lead to slippery paths and roads with motorists advised to take extra care.

The road from Cashel to Thurles is particularly dangerous with snow on the M8 northbound also dangerous with the right hand lane covered in snow with visibility at a minimum.
The roads remain icy as far as Kellys of Fantane.
Gardai in Nenagh also say that roads are very iicy in patches on all approaches to the town and just outside Borrisoleigh on the Nenagh roads.
