The number of burglaries in the Tipperary Garda Division have increased by almost a quarter.
New figures from the Central Statistics Office for 2010 and 2011 show a jump of 143 incidents – up from 597 to 740.
Meanwhile there's been a reduction in the number of reported thefts – falling 12% from 1,344 in 2010 to 1,184 in 2011. The detection rate for both years remains the same at around 46%.
