Iarnroid Eireann has been called on to immediately address safety concerns with two bridges in Thurles.
The railway bridges at Graigue and Cloughmartin are described as being in desperate need of repair and could be potentially dangerous.
Iarnrod Eireann have this afternoon moved to clarify that these lines have not been used since the Thurles – Clonmel line closed in 1967.
Councillor Jim Ryan says the bridges are in urgent need of work.
