Much needed works by North Tipperary County Council in the Thurles area are being delayed but not due to a lack of finance.
Projects such as flooding in Moycarkey village, Cassestown, the Ragg and Galbertstown, Holycross have not yet started while repair work on footpaths in Matthew Avenue, Thurles has been suspended according to Councillor Jim Ryan.

He says a lack of manpower is holding up the works, pointing out that there are only 6 outdoor staff in the Thurles area.
