A weather warning has been issued for the Premier County.
Heavy rain can is forecast for later tonight and much of tomorrow.
Met Eireann is predicting rainfall totals of 30 to 40 millimetres which could lead to localised flooding in places.
The Status Yellow warning comes into effect from 6 o’clock this evening and runs until 6pm on Saturday.
The alert also covers Clare, Offaly, Limerick, Galway, Mayo and Kerry.
