The water main that serves the town ruptured yesterday, Irish Water turned off supply in order to carry out repairs.
While the water was re-connected at around midnight last night, the utility says that it does not expect the full supply to be restored until around 1 o'clock this afternoon.
Irish Water has apologised for any inconvenience to its customers.
