Trump’s visit to UK will go ahead

Donald Trump says he expects to reach a powerful trade deal with the UK “very,very quickly” after it leaves the European Union.

He met with the British Prime Minister Theresa May this morning at the G20 summit in Germany.

The US President also confirmed his controversial visit to Britain will go ahead.

American analyst Leslie Vinjamuri says the two leaders need each other at the moment.

Meanwhile, Extra riot police have been drafted in as crowds continue to protest over the G20 summit.

People are gathering in Hamburg this afternoon for two demonstrations – with thousands more expected to march through the city later.

Nearly two-hundred officers have been injured during violent clashes.
