The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says there are 425 patients waiting today, 319 of whom are on trolleys.
The number at South Tipp General today is 18, down from 34 yesterday while at University Hospital Limerick it is 37 compared to 49 on Wednesday.
Cork University Hospital has the largest number waiting, at 40, while Beaumont in Dublin has 39.
