Trolley figures climb across Premier

According to the latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation there are 27 people without a bed at South Tipp General.

This is an increase of seven in the last 24 hours at the Clonmel hospital.

Overcrowding also remains a problem at University Hospital Limerick – today there are 23 patients on trolleys or chairs – almost double the number being treated there yesterday.

In all there are 299 people across the country today who have been admitted from hospital Emergency Departments but do not have a bed.
