The 30 year-old make-up artist from Cappawhite had been in a relationship with actor Jim Carey…who has released a statement on the death of his ex-girlfriend.
30 year old Cappawhite woman Cathriona White trained as a beauty therapist in Ireland before moving to Los Angeles to try her hand at Hollywood in 2009, working behind the scenes.
She also worked as an actor.
In 2013 she began a relationship with actor Jim Carey, and it's thought they rekindled their relationship in May before splitting up last week.
The Tipperary woman was found dead at her apartment in Sherman Oaks in Los Angeles on Monday night…an examination of her body is due to be carried out this morning.
In a statement, Jim Carey says he feels as if he's been hit by a lightning bolt and that Cathriona “was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled”.
Meanwhile, the family of Cathriona White say she was 'a shining light in our lives who was loved deeply by her entire family'.
