Tour de Munster kicks off today

A large number of cyclists will be passing through Tipperary today as they take part in the annual Tour de Munster.

The 4 day event is to raise funds for the Munster branches of Down Syndrome Ireland.

It starts in Waterford at 10 o'clock this morning before making its way to Carrick on Suir, Clonmel, Cahir and Tipp Town before travelling on to Limerick and finishing the opening day in Killaloe.

The riders will cover 600 kilometres during the course of the event.
