Tough task following boundary changes, say Tipp Election candidates

There are two Tipperary election hopefuls in the new 3 seat constituency, which has been redrawn to include the Lower Ormond area from Portroe to Lorrha.

Almost 10 thousand votes have been taken out of Tipperary and moved into Offaly following the report from the Boundary Commission…the area from just north of Nenagh up to Lorrha is affected. 

Two candidates from Tipperary have put their names forward to run in the election, Independent Kate Bopp and sitting Independent Tipperary Councillor Joe Hannigan.

While the Lower Ormond area remains under the authority of Tipperary County Council for local government, national representations has now moved into Offaly…
