It follows a week long hard hitting campaign spearheaded by Tipp Fm's Keith Fahey in conjunction with Tipperary Gardaí to raise awareness through education about road safety in the county.
This involved harrowing accounts by those directly impacted or involved in a collision, coupled with the distribution of high-viz vests around Tipperary and safety tips and a driving initiative involving a number of schools.
Today Keith Fahey travels to Dublin to pick up the much coveted leading light award at a special RSA ceremony in Farmleigh House at the Phoenix Park.
