Tipperary’s dole queues are continuing their downward trend.

Over 200 fewer people signed in March while that number jumps to almost 1,500 when you compare last month to March 2014.

13,820 people collected some form of welfare payment in the 31 days to the end of March down 203 on February.

All areas experienced a double digit cut – with the biggest drop in Thurles at 36, followed by Nenagh and Roscrea at 32 and 30.

In South Tipp Clonmel had the biggest drop with 25 fewer people signing on while Cahir and Carrick were down 24, Cashel down 20 and Tipp Town down 12.
