Philip Fenton is facing a total of eight charges which the court previously heard arose from an inspection of his training yard in South Tipp on January 18th 2012.

State solicitor Paul Fitzpatrick said that a kilogram of Nitrotain and a 20ml bottle of IIium Stanbolic – both anabolic steroids – were allegedly found at the yard while the trainer also allegedly had antibiotics without the necessary veterinary prescriptions.

8 witnesses for the state are expected to be called during the hearing which the court was told will take about a day.
