The Clonmel based MEP says the Tánaiste's leadership is in a “state of chronic inability” – and urgent action is needed if the party is to salvage any European seats.
It comes as a poll for the Irish Independent says just 18 per cent of voters are satisfied with Mr Gilmore's leadership – with less than half of Labour's own supporters satisfied with how he's doing.
Phil Prendergast says Eamon Gilmore's current approach could be fatal.
She says Joan Burton should replace him as party leader.
