Around 700 competitors are taking part across 140 categories over the weekend, while there are nightly concerts and street sessions also taking place.
Winners from this weekend will then go forward to represent the Premier County in the Munster Fleadh which is being held in Listowel in July.
Ballycommon Comhltas Committee member Ned Kelly says even if you're not competing, there's plenty of entertainment on offer this weekend.
