According to the Irish Independent households across six local authorities including parts of Tipp could have to wait 60 hours for repair works to be carried out as staff are not available to work at weekends or outside of business hours during the week.
However Senior Water Services Engineer with Tipperary County Council Denis Holland says this is definitely not the case in South Tipperary – action is taken immediately to assess the problem and what needs to be done to rectify it.
