The Clonmel native is charged with being intoxicated in a public place; engaging in abusive, insulting or threatening behaviour; and failing to comply with the directions of a garda.
The offences allegedly occurred in Ballybeg, Littleton on April 18th last.
Thurles District Court heard in September that the 23 year old may face further charges.
The Portlaoise Boxing Club member was sent home from the Rio Olympics after failing a drugs test.
