Tipp teachers ‘overwhelmed’ by paperwork

Members of the INTO have voted 97% in favour of industrial action over the continued ban on promotion in schools and what they've described as the increasing workload for teachers. 

They say they'll stop carrying out a range of admin work, in protest at an increase in unpaid work demands and the ongoing ban on promotion.

Brendan Horan of Cahir Boys School and INTO representative for Tipperary says the structure in Primary schools was much better pre-2008.
