They will benefit from a share of a €30 million investment in vital gas works and electrical upgrades in schools across the country.
Eight schools dotted right across the Premier County will see improvements carried out this year under the Summer Works Scheme.
The multi-annual project has a budget of €80 million for 2016-17.
€30 million of this has been allocated for electrical upgrades and vital gas works.
Six national schools and two post primary schools in Tipperary are to benefit.
Gortnahoe National School and St Josephs in Toomevara will have electrical works carried out while gas works will be completed this summer at Scoil Cormaic in Cashel, Killenaule National School, Scoil Iosagain in Upperchurch and St Ailbe's National School in Emly.
Electrical works are earmarked for two second level schools in County Tipperary – Colaiste Mhuire in Thurles and Colaiste Dun Iascaigh in Cahir.
Tipperary TD Alan Kelly says it's positive news for the schools concerned and will also provide an important capital injection to the construction sector and boost job creation.
