Tipp primary schools in national disability art competition

St Michael's National School and Anacarty National School were declared the county winners in the “Someone Like Me” initiative which is sponsored by the Department of Justice and Equality.

Its aim is to develop children's understanding of disabilities and to promote the aspects that makes them and their classmates unique.

Both Tipperary schools now go on to compete with 49 other schools nationwide for the overall award which will be announced by Minister Finian McGrath at a special ceremony at Farmleigh next month ( Monday December 12th).
