Tipp concerns over Children’s Hospital in Dublin City

Last month Planning permission was granted for the health facility on the site of Saint James Hospital in Dublin City Centre but opponents say it would be better located on the outskirts of the city.

The issue was raised at this week's meeting of Tipperary County Council where support was sought for a motion to oppose the Saint James site.

However some councillors expressed fears that to voice their opposition would delay the project further and instead supported an amended version of the motion put forward by Fianna Fail's Imelda Goldsboro making their concerns known to the Health Minister.
