Tipp author in the running for prestigious prize

Donal Ryan has been longlisted for this year’s Man Booker Prize.

It’s the second time the Nenagh-man has been on the list – this time for his novel ‘From a Low and Quiet Sea.’

His first novel ‘The Spinning Heart’ was longlisted for the the same accolade in 2013.

Donal Ryan, who’s also a lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Limerick, is nominated alongside 12 other publications.

Mayo-based novelist and writer Sally Rooney is also nominated for her book ‘Normal People’.
