Community groups and businesses in South Tipperary are rowing in behind The Gathering.
The event promises to be the biggest tourism initiative ever staged in Ireland – it aims to bring an additional 325,000 overseas visitors to Ireland.
By the looks of things a large number of these will be coming to South Tipp as there are 53 Gathering events already confirmed for the area.
These include music, sports, dance, heritage and clan gatherings to name just a few.
Kathleen Prendergast is The Gathering co-ordinator in South Tipperary – she says it's not too late to get involved with another round of funding coming up shortly.
