The 53 year DJ died last Thursday following a long battle with cancer.
President Michael D Higgins is represented by his Aide de Camps, while members of U2 are also in attendance for the funeral Mass which has a full program of music.
And at 2.30 this afternoon Tipp Fm will join in with other local radio stations right around the country to play Aretha Franklin's Say A Little Prayer in tribute to the late DJ.
