Status Yellow weather warning for Tipperary

The alert will remain in place until 9am tomorrow morning – with heavy rain and high winds forecast across the country.

There are already reports of spot flooding on many roads, with gardaí also warning of poor visibility.

Siobhan Ryan from Met Éireann says conditions will improve for time, but the weather will deteriorate again overnight.

“Clearance has already set in across the west and south west of the country – and there will be a lot of dry weather developing this evening and for a time early tonight” she said.

“But we're looking at another spell of very wet and very windy weather moving up from the south later tonight and for a time tomorrow”.

“So certainly not out of the woods by any means with spot flooding, impaired viability, and a lot of surface water around”.

“So very treacherous conditions if you are out and about unfortunately” she added.
