Security threat cancels public unveiling of plaque

The planned ceremony to unveil the Centenary Plaque of the founding of the Labour Party due to take place at 12 noon to-day has been cancelled.
This is due Public safety and a serious security threat, following the advice of Clonmel Gardai,
Instead, at a private ceremony this morning, the plaque was unveiled by Senator Denis Landy in the presence of Mayor of Clonmel Cllr. Darren Ryan, the Organising Committee.
