Funding has been secured from Transport Infrastructure Ireland for the measures at Kilmolash Lower which has been the scene of a number of crashes in recent years.
The works are due to start within 4 to 5 weeks.
Independent Councillor Martin Lonergan says they will come as a relief to residents in the area who have had to endure a spate of crashes.
