Calls for funding to improve a notorious blackspot in Thurles received strong support at the recent meeting of the local council.
Councillor Jim Ryan asked the local authority to apply for funding from Transport Infrastructure Ireland to build a footpath extension from Drish Bridge to Thurles.
The independent representative outlined the safety fears in the area.
