Report on removal of Roma children from their families set for publication.

The Justice Minister says a report into the removal of two Roma children from their families will soon be published.

The report – which is understood to be highly critical – was carried out by the Children's Ombudsman Emily Logan.

It examines the cases in which two children in Dublin and Athlone were removed from their families by Gardai over concerns for their identities.

Minister Frances Fitzgerald says she will be making a statement on the findings – but she's refusing to confirm reports she will issue an apology.
