Rents on the increase in the Premier County

The average rent being advertised in the Premier County is now €677 on the accommodation website.

That's up 20 percent from its lowest point.

In Cork, rents for the last quarter of 2016 were up 12 percent on the previous year.

In Limerick, they're up 12.5 with Waterford jumping over 10%.

In Dublin the annual inflation figure was 14.5 making the national average at 13.5%.

Daft.ie’s records go back to 2002 and this is the largest annual increase they've seen.
