Reilly tells Halligan to move on over cath lab issue

A former health minister says Independent Junior Minister John Halligan needs to throw in the towel and stop demanding a second cath lab for Waterford.

James Reilly says the clinical review by Dr Niall Herity shows that a second lab simply cannot be justified.

Halligan's future in government remains unclear as he refuses to accept plans for extended hours at the existing lab.

James Reilly, who's still Fine Gael's Deputy Leader, says Halligan should accept that offer and move on.
