Reduced water supply in operation today

A trunk main has burst on the Ardfinnan Regional Scheme has led to major problems in many other areas.

As a result Irish Water has had to introduce rationing of the supply in the Goatenbridge and Ardfinnan areas,

Also affected are Clogheen – Newcastle – Ballyclerihan – Cahir – Marlfield – Rathkeevin and Poulmucka.

Areas north and north-west of Clonmel, west of Fethard and south of Rosegreen are also on a reduced supply as a result of the burst.

A water tanker will be provided in Ardfinnan Village from 11.30 am today.

Irish Water and Tipperary county Council hope to have normal water supply restored to return to all areas by late tonight.
