Red-tape hampering Tipperary business start-ups

It's claimed the Environment Minister's silence is deafening when it comes to creating jobs in Mid Tipp.

The charge against Alan Kelly was laid by some local representatives during a discussion on efforts to boost employment in the Thurles Templemore area.

There were calls for the IDA to specifically come and address councillors at their montly meeting on efforts to bring in foreign direct investment while others felt more need to be done to help home-grown enterprises.

Independent Councillor Micheál Lowry believes that local companies involved in energy need extra help to get through the vast amount of red tape.
