Overcrowding in University Hospital Limerick’s Emergency Department today has broken daily records.

According to the INMO, 85 people are on Trolleys in UHL – the highest figure ever recorded in an Irish hospital in a single day.

The previous record was 82, set in October 2019, also in Limerick.

Meanwhile, there are 24 people waiting on beds in South Tipperary General Hospital.
