Public reminded of Census importance

106 Enumerators have been calling to houses across Tipperary in recent weeks delivering the forms with over 4,600 nationally.

Census 2016 takes place on Sunday April 24th – it takes in not just private dwellings but also communal establishments such as hotels, guesthouses and hospitals.

Regional Supervisor Hugh Daly – who is based in Tipp Town – says the information provided by the Census is key to understanding Ireland's needs over the coming years.

He is asking everyone to take the time to fill out the census on Sunday fortnight.
