Plans for a solar farm near Thurles have been mooted.
Engie Developments Ireland Ltd. have applied to construct solar PV arrays mounted on metal frames on a 37.6 hectare site at Ballycarrane.
The project would include an electrical substation compound, up to 10 inverter units, and a temporary construction area.
A decision on the application is due from Tipperary County Council in February.
