Pharmacists call on public to get flu vaccine

Pharmacists are urging people to get vaccinated against the flu this autumn. 

The annual jab protects against the most prevalent strain of the virus.

Pregnant women, people with chronic illnesses and healthcare workers all have a heightened risk of complications from the flu. 

Those in the at-risk groups and who hold a medical card can get the vaccine for free at your local pharmacy.
