Over 200 people left the Live Register in Tipperary last month.

A total of 225 less people were signing on across the Premier County last month bringing the total number in Tipperary to 12,665.

All areas in Tipperary recorded double-digit drops, except for Thurles where the numbers grew by 13.

Nenagh had the largest reduction with a drop of 66 people; this is followed by Roscrea where 54 people left the Live Register and Carrick-on-Suir which fell by 34.

Clonmel's figures decreased by 26, Tipperary Town went down by 21 while Cahir and Cashel fell by 18 and 19 respectively.

Year-on-year, the number of people claiming some form of unemployment benefit has fallen by over 1,100 since November of 2014.
