During his stay the president is expected to give his views on the UK's forthcoming EU referendum, and advise voters to remain in the European union.
The President and First Lady Michelle Obama are due to be hosted by Prince William and his wife Kate later today
Mr Obama will also hold a press conference with the British Prime Minister David Cameron.
