Newport flood plans on display

Locals in Newport can view draft flood maps for the area this afternoon.

The Office of Public Works is holding the open day with draft maps of potentially at risk areas on display as part of overall government proposals to install defence measures.

A total of four Tipperary locations – Borrisokane, Roscrea, Nenagh and Newport were identified as Areas for Further Assessment under the Office of Public Works' Shannon Catchment-based Flood Risk Assessment and Management (CFRAM) Study.

The plans are on display until 7pm this evening in Newport Community Centre
