Ministers meet to discuss Islamic State threat.

The French President has called for a global response to counter the threat from Islamic State militants.

Francois Hollande has opened a meeting in Paris of ministers from 30 countries to discuss how to combat I.S. – where it was confirmed that French aircraft will begin reconnaissance flights over Iraq today.

It follows the beheading of a British aid worker – and the threat to kill a second UK hostage.

Mr Hollande says the murder of David Haines is a terrifying example of what they are capable of.
