The honour is the culmination of an extensive programme of improvement carried out by the Maher brothers since they purchased the hotel in April of 2014.
The Anner becomes the first in Thurles to achieve a 4 Star rating with the owners hoping that it will act as a catalyst to help attract much needed new industry and employment to the town.

In addition they believe it will enable them to secure and grow the long term future for the 80 plus staff now employed at the hotel and will continue to boost the town economically.
