Meanwhile, up to 8,000 homes are without power this morning – following yet another night of stormy conditions.
Only the south of the country is affected – with Wexford and Bandon in Cork the worst hit areas.
ESB says crews are currently out trying to fix the problem.
Irish Ferries have also been forced to cancel more swift ferry services today due to the adverse weather.
Passengers are being advised to check the company's website.
And the wintry conditions have left some roads treacherous this morning.
