Just over 5,770 people signed on across North Tipperary last month – an increase of 12 on February's figures- So the numbers are up in Nenagh and Roscrea but down in Thurles.
In South Tipp 76 fewer people sought some form of social welfare benifit in March – the numbers were down in Carrick, Cashel Clonmel and Tipp Town but up slightly in Cahir.
Overall there are over 12,700 people signing on across Tipperary – This compares to over 13,000 for the same month last year.
