Man in his 30s dies following Ardcroney crash

He was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the N52 at Ardcroney and collided with a fence at around 2 o'clock this morning.

The man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene – his body was removed to University Hospital Limerick.

The road between Nenagh and Borrisokane at Ardcroney was closed for a number of hours to facilitate an examination of the crash scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators but has now reopened.

Witnesses are asked to contact Nenagh Garda Station on 067 50450, the Garda Confidential Telephone Line 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
