It follows an assault at a chemist shop on Scarlet Street in Drogheda at about 8.30 yesterday morning.
A male employee of the store suffered a stab injury to his stomach in the incident.
A man – aged in his 30's – was arrested close to the scene under section four of the criminal justice act – he'll appear before Dundalk District Court today in relation to the investigation.
