Local farmers to benefit from Arrabawn project.

The head of Arrabawn co-op says its involvement in new project for dairy expansion will hopefully bring more jobs to Nenagh.

The Nenagh based company is to play a central role in a new €25 million Dairy Processing Technology Company as well as being part of a €10 million pilot plant facility at Teagasc in Cork.

The projects are part of the dairy sectors preparations for the end of milk quotas in April which is expected to significantly aid job creation.

Conor Ryan, CEO of Arrabawn is hopeful direct jobs will be created at the company in the future.

He also says the aim of these investments is to pass the benefits onto the local farmer.
