At 7:25pm yesterday, Valentia Coast Guard requested Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat to launch to assist the four adults and a child, on board a vessel reported broken down soon after setting out from Garrykennedy Harbour to Mountshannon Harbour, across the lake.
At 7.50pm the lifeboat located the vessel between Parkers Point and Garrykennedy.
The lifeboat towed the boat back to Garrykennedy, where it was safely tied up at 8.10pm.
